Who Pays When Disaster Strikes? Writing Contracts for Today's Meeting Planner

Meeting planners entering contracts today are faced with the reality that many future acts or occurrences, either man-made or natural, are outside of their control and can affect pre-existing contracts. Recent events such as 9/11, the SARS epidemic, and Hurricane Katrina have already proven this to be the case, and have caused much confusion among today's meeting planners.

Join us for a 90-minute audio conference to discuss when contract obligations can and cannot be discharged, termination provisions and, most importantly, how to protect yourself from liability. This is an event you cannot afford to miss!

Learner Objectives:

  • Recognize need for good contract language as to potential disasters.
  • Know what responses to make to the press and others  in a disaster situation.
  • Establish the team to respond.
  • Understand insurance issues.
